1. Who will be in attendance?
The first thing you need to consider when picking out a live band for your wedding is who will be in attendance. Will the entire family, all your college buddies, and your boss’ boss be there? Did you choose to have a kid-free wedding?
When selecting what band to have at your wedding you need to consider your guests. Take a look at the age range, how you know them, and what you know of everyone’s personal preferences.
TIP: Don’t forget about yourself. Remember that this is your wedding. While there will be plenty of people there to enjoy the day with you, your wedding day is first and foremost FOR YOU. Ask yourself what you want to dance to on your wedding day and we can make it happen.
2. What type of party are you looking for?
There is every type of live entertainment out there, especially in the Florida area because of all the tourist hubs and huge talent pool. Big bands, string quartets, full DJ acts - you name it, there’s probably someone out there able to perform it.

3. What is your budget?
When thinking about the budget it’s important to think about what you are paying for. Most people think of a wedding band as simply performing at the reception but there is actually a lot more to it.
Before your wedding day even begins there's the agent coordination with the venue for electrical and staging. There's also special requests, such as new songs that the band needs to rehearse before your big day.
You also want to consider how many people you want performing at your wedding. The more people in the band the fuller the sound and the bigger the party.
But not every wedding needs a 12-piece band complete with a horn and string section (as much as we would love that!). The more people you want the higher your budget should be.
Pricing includes travel time for drive dates. Sound crews arrive up to 5 hours prior. Bands typically arrive on site a minimum of two to three hours prior for set up and stay well after for tear down.
Depending on when your wedding starts and where the band is traveling from, overnight rooms might be necessary. Most DBM bands are local to the Florida area to help minimize cost for you.
At DBM our quotes are all inclusive, meaning you don’t have to worry about any last minute charges.

- Live band or DJ performance for 3-4 hour reception, including breaks
- Up to three new songs for the band to learn that aren't already in their song list (Note: Songs to be approved by agent)
- Sound system (larger bands also come with a dedicated sound technician and stage lights)
